basically is not knowledge but an imagination, true words of Einstein. But when
it comes to SSB you need to be knowledgeable as well.
Intelligence is the ability to understand, interact and learn from one’s
environment.officer's intelligence test is the first round of SSB Screening Test .
Officers
intelligence test can be explained as a test where in the candidates need to
solve the verbal and non-verbal reasoning in a prescribed time duration which
makes sure that you are under extreme pressure to solve more problems in less
time. As you know where there is pressure you need to respond more
intelligently or in my words you not only have to be a hard worker but a smart
worker.
So that’s why this test is known as officer’s intelligence test.
The officer’s
intelligence test is an important test to be qualified with good marks as it is
the license to your dream of qualifying for SSB as after
getting recommended and clearing the medicals the overall merit or the national
level is based on this marks only.
Two types of patterns
conducted to measure the candidate’s intelligence level.
These are as follow:
1. Verbal reasoning
2. Non-verbal reasoning.
Verbal reasoning
can be defined as understanding and reasoning using concepts framed in words. It aims at evaluating ability to think constructively.
Syllabus covered under
Verbal Reasoning:
- Analogy and Classification.
- Coding - Decoding.
- Number Series.
- Blood Relations.
- Direction.
- Seating Arrangement.
- Puzzles.
- Basic mathematical aptitude.
If you are still
unable to exactly understand the meaning of verbal reasoning then here is an
example:
1. Rahul goes either hunting or
fishing every day. If it is snowing & windy then Rahul goes hunting. If it
is sunny and not windy then Rahul goes fishing. Sometimes it can be snowing and
sunny.

Now we come to the Non-verbal intelligence.
Non–verbal Intelligence
it the ability to analyze information and solve problems using visual or hand-on reasoning.
Syllabus covered under
Verbal Reasoning:
- Analogy and Classification of figures.
- Complete and Incomplete Pattern of figures
- Cubes and Dice
- Venn Diagram (simple one)

Intelligence are:
